Directed by and starring Dhanush, the film revolves around a man who has to salvage his family business at a crucial juncture in his journey. The film sees the actor working again with his Thiruchitrambalam co-star Nithya Menen. They are joined by Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, Raj Kiran, Samuthirakani, and others.
Kantara: Chapter 1 | October 2
A prequel to the 2022 Kannada blockbuster, the film is expected to delve deeper into the past to look at the story of the predecessors of Shiva, the character played by Rishab Shetty in the original, and the origin of the demigod Panjurli and his companion, the demon Gulika.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari | October 2
Touted as a romantic comedy, the film starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor marks the former's reunion with Shashank Khaitan after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Other cast members include Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul.

Cillian Murphy reunites with Tim Mielants, the director of the actor's acclaimed Small Things Like These, to play the head teacher of a reform school housing troubled children. Based on Max Porter's novella Shy, the film is said to be a reimagining of a story that tracks the emotional journeys of Murphy's character Steve and one of his students Shy (Jay Lycurgo).

Based on the non-fiction book “Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire”, the film, directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum) has Matthew McConaughey playing the real-life bus driver Kevin McKay, who has to transport a group of schoolchildren to safety amid raging wildfires.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story | October 3 | Netflix
In the third season of the 'Monster' anthology, Charlie Hunnam (The Gentlemen, Sons of Anarchy) plays the real-life serial killer Ed Gein, the inspiration for several fictional serial killers in cinema, such as Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Norman Bates in Psycho, among others.
