'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' Day 19: Set to become all-time no.2 grosser at Kerala Box Office today; grosses Rs 250 crore worldwide

Even in its third week, the milestones keep coming for Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra as it sets new benchmarks at the box office. The film recorded a phenomenal third weekend, grossing Rs 13.80 crore in Kerala with Saturday and Sunday breaching the Rs 5 crore mark.

At the end of Sunday, the film's 18th day, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has grossed Rs 88.50 crore, overtaking two Mohanlal-starrers to attain the all-time no.3 spot in Kerala Box Office history. Pulimurugan (Rs 85.10 crore), the industry hit from 2016 and Empuraan (Rs 86.25 crore) are the films that were overtaken are currently at fourth and fifth spots respectively in the all-time list. The survival drama 2018 with Rs 89.10 crore is currently at second spot and that figure will be overtaken by Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra on its 19th day, thereby moving to the no.2 spot in the all-time list. Mohanlal's Thudarum tops the list with Rs 118.90 crore and it will be interesting to see if the Kalyani Priyadarshan-Naslen starrer can get close to that or breach the figure eventually.

Meanwhile, the film is also set to touch the magical figure Rs 250 crore gross worldwide on its 19th day, making it only the second Mollywood film to reach the landmark after Empuraan which is currently the highest-grossing Malayalam film worldwide. That both films have come in 2025 shows how much potential the industry has if it can produce event films with the right content. The Rest of India collections for Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is set to touch Rs 50 crore, a feat that only Manjummel Boys has previously reached from Mollywood. The all-India gross for the film after 18 days is a phenomenal Rs 138 crore with no signs of slowing down just yet.
