We are four days away from the premiere of Aryan Khan's directorial debut 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' on Netflix. The much-anticipated series, co-created by Bilal Siddiqi, Manav Chauhan, and written by Aryan Khan, Bilal Siddiqi, and Manav Chauhan, will arrive on September 18.
All about 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'
Produced by Gauri Khan for Red Chillies Entertainments, the satirical series explores Bollywood’s inner workings, dynasties, and outsider struggles. It follows Aasmaan Singh, played by Lakshya ('Kill'), who dreams of stardom. Raghav Juyal, also in 'Kill', joins as his loyal friend, alongside Aasmaan’s manager, parents, and relatives. Bobby Deol portrays Singh’s rival, a superstar undermining him. A comeback-seeking former star, played by Rajat Bedi, further complicates Singh’s journey.
The main cast and cameos
The series will feature a sea of cameos, beginning with the three Khans — Shah Rukh, Aamir, and Salmaan — in addition to other top names in the Indian film industry such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, SS Rajamouli, Karan Johar, and a lot more. Let's just say almost the entire Bollywood is expected to show up.
Netflix recently released the full trailer featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Aryan is also expected to face the camera at some point in the story.
Shah Rukh earlier hinted that the ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ is the "biggest, baddest, bravest, whackiest, funniest, cheekiest, maddest and filmiest show on earth."
The series has music by Shashwat Sachdev, and guest composers Anirudh Ravichander ("Coolie", "Vikram") and Ujwal Gupta. Tamannaah Bhatia will be appearing in a special song.
