Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a historical action flick with Pawan Kalyan in the lead, will find a new home on the OTT space after a disappointing one-month run at the box office. On Wednesday, Amazon Prime Video announced that the film will now be available to stream on the platform from August 20.
The film follows Veera Mallu, who leads a revolt against the Mughal Empire while also attempting to snatch the Koh-i-Noor diamond from the Peacock Throne. Helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film stars Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri and Nora Fatehi.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu experienced multiple delays owing to Kalyan’s political commitments, scheduling conflicts, and post-production hurdles. When it finally debuted on the silver screens on July 24, it met with poor reviews. While the audience found the first half of the film engaging, the latter portion missed the mark due to a flimsy narrative and shoddy VFX. One superfan described the film as a “cinematic ride”, while another saw the film as a “missed opportunity”.
The film opened with special night screenings on July 23, which minted Rs 12.75 crore. The next day, its first full day of running in theatres, saw a massive hike to Rs 35.75 crore. However, the momentum of the film dropped drastically in the days that followed, resulting in Hari Hara Veera Mallu's opening weekend collections of Rs 75.65 crore.
Backed by Mega Surya Production, the big-budget film managed to rake in only a reported Rs 106 crore against a budget of Rs 250–300 crore.
