Bollywood actor Salman Khan is on the move, determined to take up exciting new film roles.
The 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor is currently busy shooting for his next film, titled 'Battle of Galwan', about a fierce clash in 2020 between India and China at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh.

In the meantime, he is currently in talks with acclaimed Mollywood director, screenwriter, and film editor Mahesh Narayanan about an action period-thriller.
"Salman Khan and Mahesh Narayanan have been jamming on multiple ideas, and Salman has given a go-ahead to the filmmaker on a period-thriller with action. The film in discussion will be set in the 1970s to 1990s, and Mahesh will now come back for a full-length narration,” a source said about the meeting, as per a Pinkvilla report.
The source added that the talks had already reached an advanced stage, as Salman Khan liked the pitch for the film, and wanted to do a film outside of his comfort zone.
Mahesh Narayanan has written and directed a number of films such as 'Fahadh Faasil-starrers 'Malik', 'Take Off', and 'C U Soon', all of which impressed critics and viewers alike.
“Be it Galwan, or the Mahesh Narayanan directorial—Salman is looking to explore new genres now, that challenge him. There will be a 100 per cent clarity on the Mahesh Narayanan film before the end of this year,” the source explained.
Last seen in A.R. Murugadoss' 'Sikander', Salman Khan is expected to continue filming 'Battle of Galwan' till the end of 2025. If the talks with Mahesh Narayanan succeed, he is expected to begin filming for the action period thriller in 2026.
