Malayalam actor Vinod Kovoor revealed that actor and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Navas, who was found dead in a hotel in Kerala's Kochi on Friday, had experienced chest pain during the shooting of the movie 'Prakambanam'.
However, the actor continued to shoot without going to the hospital, although he spoke to a doctor, Kovoor said in a social media post.
The incident came to light when the staff of the hotel, where Kalabhavan Navas was staying for a film shoot.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police said.
The translated post of Vinod Kovoor reads:
"When I heard the news, I wished it was fake.
When I saw the lifeless body in front of the Kalamassery Mortuary last night at 11 PM, I first thought he was just pretending to be asleep.
I patted his cheek and called out, "Nawazkka!" His eyes were slightly open then, (I thought) those eyes wouldn't close without seeing all his loved ones. After the lifeless body was taken into the mortuary, on the way home, it was just Nawazkka's memories. Having acted until 5 PM at the Chottanikkara film set, Nawazkka arrived at his hotel room, completed his role in real life, and disappeared behind the curtain of time.
Such is the human condition.
Each of our lives is a water bubble that can burst at any moment.
He had chest pain on set and had called and spoken to a doctor, but thinking it shouldn't cause trouble for the shoot, he immersed himself in acting without going to the hospital. He must have thought he could go after the shoot, but... by then, the uninvited jester (death) came and snatched his life away. I can't help but think, "If only he had seen a doctor when the pain started." But 'if onlys' have no place here. Nawazkka's time came, and Nawazkka left. That's all.
At the last AMMA family gathering, Nawazkka was praised by everyone for singing songs and performing various comedies. I remember hugging him after asking, "May I give you a hug?" We did many stage programs together, but more than that, Nawazkka had a brotherly love. Now, it's hard to believe Nawazkka is only in memories. May God widen Nawazkka's grave.
I share in the family's pain. I had to stay in the mortuary all last night, and today's post-mortem is unbearable, Nawazkka.
After noon, I have to go to his home in Aluva to see him one last time.
It's truly frightening; Nawazkka's death happened at the age of fifty-one. Our lives, each one of ours, are without any guarantee. When the role is over, shouldn't one leave the stage, no matter who it is?
