Singer Katy Perry was spotted dining with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday night (local time), much to the amusement and surprise of netizens across the world.
The famous American singer was seen sitting with Justin Trudeau at the Le Violon, a posh restaurant in Montreal, as per a report from entertainment outlet TMZ.
Perry, who announced the end of her nine-year-relationship with Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom just a month ago, is currently touring in Canada as a part of her 'Lifetimes Tour', in support of her latest album, titled '143' (2024). The tour is expected to end on December 7 at Abu Dhabi this year.

During what the outlet described as their “thoughtful conversation", the Roar singer seemed to be enjoying a wonderful conversation with the former Canadian politician, who has laid low following his resignation as the leader of the Liberal Party in January 2025.
This was clearly evident in her body language, as she is seen often leaning across the table to hear him out.
According to an eyewitness account, Perry and Trudeau sipped cocktails and enjoyed several dishes at the venue. They were even said to have thanked the chef privately, after their meal.
The date was also closely monitored by security guards at the bar who were said to be watching the two dine through the mirrored glass, with their backs turned against them.
Notably, Trudeau (53) is also separated, for he had announced his amicable separation from his wife Sophie Grégoire—after an 18-year-long marriage. Just like Perry and Bloom, the Trudeau and Gregoire also share children, and have resolved to focus on co-parenting them.
