Code red, nerds: The teaser for the highly anticipated fifth (and final) season of flagship Netflix series 'Stranger Things' released on Wednesday.

Beginning with a radio's audio decibels reaching dangerous levels—as high as 100!—the teaser quickly dials up the intensity, offers glimpses of what looks like an intense season before teasing Vecna, as he steps from the Upside Down and into the "real" world.

The final chapter of the Duffer Brothers' 2016 series will be released in three parts, with Volume One premiering on November 26 this year, Volume Two releasing on Christmas Day (December 25), and the series finale coinciding with 2025's own “finale”, December 31.

“Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown,” reads the official synopsis of the fifth chapter—set in 1987.

With the odds ever against them as the final battle looms—and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before—the endgame will see the full party stand together to face the nightmare.

Apart from its exceptional soundtrack, including the use of Deep Purple’s 'Child in Time' for this teaser, 'Stranger Things' features an ensemble cast who have grown with the show—Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), and more.
