Gen V', 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' actor Chance Perdomo dies at 27

Actor Chance Perdomo, known for his roles in Gen V and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has died at age 27. Perdomo was killed in a motorcycle accident. According to a statement from his representatives, no one else was involved in the accident.

“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” a statement from his representatives said, the Guardian reported. “We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.” 

Perdomo was last seen in Gen V, a spin-off of the superhero parody series, The Boys. In Gen V, he played a student with the power to manipulate magnetic forces to control people around him. 

He was known for his role as Ambrose Spellman in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a series inspired the popular Archies comics, featuring Sabrina, a teenage witch. He also starred in the movies After We Fell and After Everything.

Actor Steve Toussaint and writer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa paid tribute to Perdomo on Instagram. “A generous, funny, open-hearted, wildly intelligent, and fiercely complex and soulful human being. The loss is heartbreaking and staggering. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. Oh, how I wish Aunt Zelda’s words were true today (and perhaps they are): “There is no true death for witches, only transformation.” Rest in peace, Chance,” Aguirre-Sacasa wrote, sharing a picture of Perdomo with Kiernan Shipka, who played Sabrina in the series.
