The 69th Filmfare awards were held at GIFT City, Gujarat on Saturday and Sunday. Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt graced the red carpet. So did actors like Shefali Shah, Rani Mukerji and Kartik Aryan. The awards given out for excellence in the Hindi-language film industry were hosted by Karishma Tanna and Aparshakti Khurana.
The technical awards were given out on Saturday and the other awards were given out on Sunday. The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) had last year signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with entertainment and lifestyle content company Worldwide Media (WWM) to host the event and promote the state as a film destination, PTI reported.
