Popular Kollywood star Vijay was attacked with a slipper while he was returning after paying respects to the mortal remains of actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth.
In a video that is being widely shared, a visibly distraught Vijay is seen walking amidst a group of people when a slipper is flung at him by an unidentified person. The actor is seen not looking back or reacting to the incident although the slipper hits him on his neck.

Vijayakanth, who had been ill for about five years, passed away on Thursday morning after battling against pneumonia. Thousands of people, fans, celebrities and politicians thronged the Island Grounds near the Marina beach in Chennai on Friday to pay homage to Vijayakanth.
