Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan's 'The Intern' to go on floors in 2024

'The Intern', which will star Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Neena Gupta will begin shooting in 2024. the movie is a remake of 'The Intern', which featured Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The movie will be Padukone's second production venture after Chhapaak. 

The movie will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Bachchan and Padukone have worked together in the comedy-drama Piku. The movie got delayed due to 'unavoidable circumstances'. Padukone is currently busy with Fighter, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and is being directed by Siddharth Anand. 

Padukone was last seen in Jawan, in which she made a special appearance. Bachchan was last seen in Uunchai and Ganapath. The movie was originally supposed to release in 2022 and actor Rishi Kapoor was originally cast in De Niro's role. The screenplay has been adapted by Akshat Ghildail. The movie will be co-produced by Sunil Kheterpal, with Warner Brothers India, Ka Productions, and Azure Entertainment
