The Noida Police on Tuesday issued a notice to YouTuber Elvish Yadav in connection with the case linked to alleged use of snake venom at rave parties. According to reports, Yadav is likely to be interrogated soon. Elvish, winner of reality show Bigg Boss OTT, is among those named in an FIR by the Noida Police.

On November 3, the police arrested five persons for supplying poisonous snakes and snake venom. The accused persons also named Elvish, but the YouTuber rejected the allegations in a video he posted on his social media handles.

The accused were arrested after a raid by the police and forest department, based on a complaint filed by BJP leader Maneka Gandhi's NGO People For Animals. Nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued from the venue while 20 ml of  snake venom was also seized.

Elvish is likely to be confronted with Rahul Yadav, one of the arrested persons, NDTV reported. Cops have also reportedly found evidence of similar rave parties being held in Delhi and Rajasthan. Probe is on to identify how the venom was used in parties and with what chemical it was mixed to be consumed. Police are also probing who all attended these parties.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Forest Minister Arun Saxena said on Tuesday that the law will take its own course and “no celebrity is bigger than the law”.

Maneka Gandhi had called for Elvish's immediate arrest for the 'grade 1 crime' that can attract a jail term of seven years.

Denying all charges, Elvish had said: “All these accusations of me being arrested for consumption or acquisition of substance are untrue. I am ready to cooperate with the Noida police and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. If I am found even 0.1% involved in this, I am ready to take responsibility.”
