Malayalam actor Rahman, is reportedly, set to make his Bollywood debut in upcoming Tiger Shroff actioner Ganapath: A Hero is Born. According to reports, the actor will essay the role of the antagonist—a martial arts guru—in the film that hits theatres on October 20.
The Times of India reported that Rahman will play the son of veteran Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. Billed as a science fiction action film, Ganapath, will see Tiger Shroff essay a vigilante in a dystopian world. Helmed by Vikas Bahl, the film also features Kriti Sanon as the female lead.
The trailer showed glimpses of CGI-heavy action sequences as Tiger fights against evil, with Kriti by his side. Besides Hindi, Ganapath will also release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
On the work front, Rahman was last seen on the big screen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan and Malayalam sci-fi thriller Samara.
