Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has slapped a legal notice on singer Mika Singh over his comments on actress Jacqueline Fernandez's photographs posted on social media, according to reports.
Jacqueline recently posted pictures with Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme. In the comments section, Mika wrote: “You are looking so beautiful...he is so much better than sukesh. Amid the outrage over the distasteful comment, the singer deleted it, reports said.
According to a report by Times of India, the legal notice filed by Sukesh's lawyer stated that Mika's comment has “triggered extensive public discourse about our client's character and personality, subjecting him to a de factor trial by media.” It further stated: “The situation is exacerbating his existing distress and poses significant challenges due to relentless media scrutiny.” Sukesh's legal team accused Mika of tarnishing the former's image and added that the comment has “adversely affected his personal and professional life”.
Stating that defamation is a legal offence, the legal team also demanded an unconditional apology from Mika and urged him to desist from making any further false, defamatory statements.
Sukesh is currently lodged in Tihar jail in the case linked to extortion of Rs 200 crore from a businessman's wife. He has maintained that he was in a romantic relationship with Jacqueline. The actress also was summoned multiple times by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case connected to Sukesh.
