Barbie: For rent on Amazon Prime Video

Release date: September 12

After a spectacular run at the global box office, the Margot Robbie-starrer is currently available for rent on Amazon Prime Video. The fantasy comedy directed by Greta Gerwig revolves around the eponymous Mattel doll Barbie (Margot) and her boyfriend Ken (Ryan Gosling) who are forced to encounter life's realities after they step out of the perfect fuchsia-coloured Barbie Land. The film, which clashed in theatres with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, also features Simu Liu, Dua Lipa, Emerald Fennell, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera and Will Ferrell.

Bambai Meri Jaan: Amazon Prime

Release date: September 14

The Hindi-language crime series is set in Bombay of the 1960s and 70s. The show revolves around the quintessential good-versus-bad theme portrayed through the lives of a gangster Dara Kadri and his father who is a former cop. Featuring Kay Kay Menon and Avinash Tiwari in the lead, the show directed by Shujaat Sudagar also features Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur.

Once Upon a Crime: Netflix

The Japanese film blends in elements of fantasy and mystery as it revisits the fairytale classic of Little Red Riding Hood. In this version, Red Riding Hood is a detective on a mission to solve a murder. She is also joined by Cinderella whom she meets at the royal ball.

Wilderness: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: September 15

The thriller series is based on a novel by of the same name by B.E. Jones. Starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohenin lead roles, the plot revolves around a dream holiday that turns into a nightmare for a young British couple.

Kaala: Disney plus Hotstar

Release date: September 15

Yet another series set in the underbelly of crime, Kaala revolves around an intelligence bureau officer's struggle to solve a case. Helmed by Bejoy Nambiar, the show stars Avinash Tiwary, Rohan Vinod Mehra, Nivetha Pethuraj, Taher Shabbir and Hiten Tejwani.

Bhola Shankar: Netflix

Release date: September 15

The Telugu action thriller headlined by veteran actor Chiranjeevi is set to stream after its theatrical debut in August. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film is a the Telugu remake of the Tamil film Vedalam which starred Ajith Kumar in the lead. Bhola Shankar also features Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles.
