Indian box office has been on fire ever since Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan released on September 7. It has collected a total of Rs 350 crore worldwide on Day 3, according to trade expert Manobala V. This would mean that Jawan has surpassed Adipurush's Rs 340 crore collection on its third day.

“Jawan ZOOMS Past ₹350 cr gross mark at the worldwide Box Office in just 3 days. Jawan witnesses growth on third day at the India Box Office. Sold a record 27,51,581 tickets from tracked shows alone," the trade expert tweeted.

The movie also registered the highest single day collection ever in the country for a Hindi film on Day 3. It minted Rs 144.22 crore gross on the third day of its release across India. Red Chillies Entertainment, the makers of Jawan, tweeted, "Highest single day collection ever. Rs 144.22 crore gross box office collection all languages. Rs 68.72 crore (Hindi)."

The film's Hindi version amassed Rs 73.76 crore gross from 14,817 shows while Rs 5.34 crore was minted from 905 Tamil shows and Rs 3.74 crore was collected from 786 Telugu shows, Manobala added. This takes the total collection to Rs 82.84 crore in India.

PVR collected Rs 18.03 crore from 4,09,394 shows, INOX minted Rs 13.51 crore from 3,30,238 shows and Cinepolis scored Rs 7.21 crore from 1,52,562 shows, he tweeted.

It remains to be seen whether Jawan's Day 4 collection will be affected by the India vs Pakistan Super 4 clash in the Asia Cup on Sunday. Directed by Atlee, the movie also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, along with a cameo by Deepika Padukone. The film's opening day collections was reportedly Rs 129.6 crore, the biggest opening day in the history of Indian cinema.

THE WEEK's review of Jawan said that “the film takes up real issues that are timely and relevant and sends across a strong political message that makes it a film rooted to the times.”

“Three and a half hours of Jawan offers full entertainment and more. There are takeaway lessons, advice, emotions, humour, dance and loads of drama. Beyond that, there's loads and loads of Shah Rukh Khan, two of them actually; yet, not an overdose. Jawan is the kind of film you watch and forget about where you are and what time it is. This is the kind of movie that offers escapism at its best,” added the review. Read the full review HERE.
