Most anticipated upcoming Bollywood movies of 2023

With films like 'Adipurush' to 'Jawan' lined up, 2023 looks promising

The year 2023 so far has seen some major Bollywood blockbusters like Pathaan, box-office sucesses like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and average flicks like Selfiee and Bholaa. The rest of the year has some interesting movies lined up. Here's a look at some of the most anticipated and upcoming Bollywood movies of 2023.

1. Adipurush

The film is based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. Even though the film faced much criticism after the release of its teaser and trailer, the movie is all set to release on June 16. The cast includes Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Devadatta Nage, Saif Ali Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan. Fans of Prabhas are excited to see if he would surpass his performance in Bahubali, which turned him into a pan-India hero.

2. Satya Prem Ki Katha

“Conversations that never end; promises which are never broken; laughter which is never lost; eyes which are never moist.” After winning hearts, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 couple - Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani - is back with another rom-com which is set to hit the theatres on June 29. Director Sameer Vidwans is ready to bring back the classic musical romantic drama in Bollywood.

3. Maidaan

“Maidaan” is a true story based on the golden era of Indian football (1952 -1962) Amit Sharma’s film has Ajay Devgan in the lead and is expected to hit theatres on June 23.

4. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

Rocky aur Rani Parivar is ready to hit theatres on July 28. Karan Johar is back with his classic family drama trope, with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Singh seems to be more excited than the audience as this is his debut Dharma Productions film.

5. Animal

Bollywood action drama helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vangga has Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles along with Bobby Deol, Parineeti Chopra, and several other supporting actors. The movie is scheduled to be released on August 11.

6. Dream Girl 2

Pooja is back! Raj Shandilya’s Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana is back with its sequel. The first teaser of the movie was enough for the audience to set their expectations high. The cast also includes Ananya Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, and others. The film hits the theatres on August 25.

7. Jawan

A soldier is on an expedition to rectify the wrongs in society. Atlee provides the audience with something they initially believed was impossible. Shahrukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi coming together in an Anirudh musical film was one among them. The power-packed film will be released on September 7.

8. Yodha

The action-thriller starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Rashi Khanna directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha is produced by Dharma Productions and is set for release on September 15.
