The first week of June is packed with much-awaited releases like Avatar: The Way of Water, Malayalam film 2018, finale of Netflix's Never Have I Ever, and much more. Here is a quick look at all the shows and movies you could binge over the weekend.

Avatar: The Way of Water: Disney + Hotstar

Release date: June 7

One of the most highly anticipated releases this week, James Cameron's second film in the Avatar franchise starts streaming after a successful theatrical run. Released in December 2022, Avatar: The Way of Water featured an ensemble cast of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet. The film, set a decade after the events of the first film, follows the story of the Sully family.

Bloody Daddy: JioCinema

Release date: June 9

Shahid Kapoor-starrer crime thriller is set for a direct-to-digital release. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, known for movies such as Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, features Diana Penty, Sanjay Kapoor, Ronit Roy, and Rajeev Khandelwal in pivotal roles. A remake of 2011 French film Sleepless Night, the film revolves around Shahid's character Sumair who faces off against Gurugram's drug lords and honest cops, over the course of one night.

2018: Everyone is a Hero: SonyLIV

Release date: June 7

A box-office hit, Malayalam film 2018 tells the story of the indomitable fighting spirit of the people of Kerala as they battled rain fury and flood in 2018. Written and directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the film features an ensemble cast of Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Narain, Lal, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurlai Vineeth Srinivasan and Indrans among others.

Never Have I Ever Season 4: Netflix

The fourth and final season of the much-loved coming-of-age comedy is the next on the long line of exciting releases. Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, the show revolves around the live of Indian-American teen Devi Viswakumar, her friends, love interests and the challenges of high school. The show also struck a chord with the audience over the depiction of the complex mother-daughter dynamic between Devi, and her mom Nalini.

Tour de France: Unchained: Netflix

Release date: June 8

Another sports documentary from Netflix, this one is for the cycling enthusiasts. The documentary delves into the 2022 installment of one of the “world's most gruelling bike races”. The eight-episode docuseries follows eight teams and captures all the action they go through.
