Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan got injured during the shoot for his upcoming movie Project K in Hyderabad. He suffered injuries to rib cartilage during an action shot.
Bachchan shared his health update on his blog saying that he suffered injuries to his rib cartilage. Before flying back to his home in Mumbai, the 80-year-old actor said that he underwent a CT scan.
"During an action shot, I have got injured...rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage...canceled shoot...did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home...strapping has been done and rest been advocated," posted Amitabh Bachchan.
He said in his post that he is pain and but recovering.
"Yes painful...on movement and breathing...will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur...some medication is on also for pain," he said.
Due to the injury, all work has been suspended and postponed until he is healed. The actor's last movie was 2022 blockbuster "Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva".
He also said in the post that he is in rest at Jalsa and will not be able to meet the visitors. He also said in the post that he will be on rest at Jalsa. "I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities...but yes in rest and generally lying around...It shall be difficult or let me say...I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening...so do not come...and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming...All else is well," he said.
Directed by Nag Asshwin "Project K" also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. It is set to hit the screens on January 12, 2024.
