Delhi Police summon Jacqueline Fernandez again for questioning in extortion case

The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi police issued another summons to Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez to appear for questioning in the ₹ 200 crore extortion case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar who is in jail.

The actor has been asked to appear before the Economic Offences Wing at 11 am on Monday.

On Wednesday, the actor was questioned for eight hours in connection with the case. During the interrogation, Jacqueline Fernandez admitted that she was in a relationship with the conman for a few months. She had also claimed during the questioning that she was unaware of the criminal activities of Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the actor was planning to marry the conman.

Jacqueline Fernandez was reportedly warned by her fellow actors about Chandrashekhar but continued accepting gifts from him and meeting him.

Chandrashekhar, who is lodged in Tihar jail, is accused of cheating several people, including high-profile individuals such as former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife Aditi Singh.
