Punjab school mistakes Bryan Cranston's character in 'Breaking Bad' for scientist Werner Heisenberg

Werner Heisenberg is a noted theoretical physicist best known for theory of quantum mechanics and uncertainty principle.

In the popular AMC show Breaking Bad, teacher-turned-drug kingpin Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston) assumes the alias 'Heisenberg'.

A school in Punjab appears to have mistaken the fictional Heisenberg for Werner Heisenberg. Videos circulating on the social media shows a picture of the actor as the Breaking Bad character on the wall, along with prominent scientists like Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton.

According to media reports, this is not the first time the character from Breaking Bad was mistaken for the noted scientist. A few years ago, a similar error was reported from a school in Andhra Pradesh as well.

The goof-up may have been caused because a Google search throws up results for both the scientist and Cranston's character in the show.

"Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston was mistaken for Werner Heisenberg, in Punjab School. Jessie be Like aye Yo Science Bitch," tweeted a user.

“Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston mistaken for Werner Heisenberg, the scientist who discovered uncertainty principle. These images seem to have been distributed to many schools in India. There was one from AP earlier and this one is apparently from Punjab,” wrote another.
