Just a few hours before tying the knot with actress Nayanthara, director Vignesh Shivan posted an adorable note about the 'love of his life'. In the post, he thanked his family, friends and all those who have supported him through his journey.
Sharing a series of photographs with Nayanthara, Vignesh wrote: “Today is June 9th and it’s Nayan’s thanking God , the universe, the Good will from all the lovely human beings who have crossed My life !! Every good soul , every good moment , every good coincidence, every good blessing , everyday at shooting and every prayer that has made life this beautiful ! I owe it all to the good manifestations & prayers ! (sic).”
He added: “Now , It’s all dedicated to the love of my life ! #Nayanthara ! My #Thangamey ! Excited to see u walking up the aisle in a few hours ! Praying God for all the goodness and looking forward to starting a new chapter officially in front of our beloved family & the best of friends (sic)”.
Nayanthara and Vigensh tied the knot at 8:30am on Thursday at Sheraton Grand in Mahabalipuram, according to reports. They had initially planned to tie the knot at Tirupathi. However, the venue was later changed to Mahabalipuram.
Nayanthara and Vignesh fell in love on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhan in 2015. They got engaged in 2021. The wedding was reportedly a private ceremony, attended by only close friends and family members. Reports suggests that Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, Vijay Sethupathi, Shah Rukh Khan and several stars from the film industry have been invited for a grand wedding reception.
Nayanthara was last seen in romantic comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by Vignesh. The film also featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Sethupathi.
