Dulquer pens thank you note as 'Kurup' trailer lights up Burj Khalifa

The Malayalam thriller drama hits the screens tomorrow

Ahead of Malayalam film Kurup’s theatre release, actor Dulquer Salmaan's long-awaited crime flick became the first Malayalam film to feature on the Burj Khalifa in the UAE. The film had earlier become the first Indian film to launch NFT collectibles.

A video was shared on Dulquer’s Instagram handle, where he is seen enjoying the trailer along with his wife, Amal Sufiya, and daughter, Maryam.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine a trailer of a film of mine let alone my name, playing on the iconic Burj Khalifa. A huge thanks to the people who made this possible,” wrote Dulquer.

His fans gathered in large numbers to witness the screening of the trailer on the world's tallest building. Thanking the fans Dulquer said: “I wish to always return your love ten fold through my films.”

After several delays, the movie is set to release worldwide tomorrow.

Kurup is a biographical crime-thriller based on the life of Kerala’s most wanted fugitive Sukumara Kurup, who has been on run since the mid 1980’s after executing a planned murder to avail his insurance amount. The film will unfold the mastermind murder story which is now part of folklore in Kerala.

The movie directed by Srinath Rajendran stars Dulquer Salman in the lead role along with Indrajith Sukumaran, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sunny Wayne, Bharat Srinivasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Surabhi Lakshmi and Vijayaraghavan Pillai in supporting roles.
