From horror thrillers, comedies to family dramas, a slew of movies are releasing on streaming platforms in the last week of October.

Here is a quick look at upcoming releases:

Hypnotic: Netflix

Release date: Oct 27

The psycho-thriller, with Kate Seigel in the lead, follows a young lady, Jenn, who turns to a hypnotherapist for help as she struggles both personally and professionally. However, she finds herself caught in a deadly mind game.  Directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, Hypnotic also features Jason O'Mara and Dulé Hill.

Army of Thieves: Netflix

Release date: Oct 29

A prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, the film follows the adventures of German safe-cracking expert, Ludwig Dieter. A mysterious woman recruits bank teller Dieter to help her crew crack three legendary safes across Europe. The heist romantic comedy, directed by Matthias Schweighöfer, stars Schweighöfer, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Guz Khan and Jonathan Cohen in lead roles.

Call My Agent: Netflix

Release date: Oct 29

The Indian adaptation of the popular French series features Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Rajat Kapoor and Soni Razdan. It follows "four savvy, street smart talent agents manage fragile star egos and real human emotions to save their agency from closure after the sudden death of the founder".

Billed as a funny, quirky, heartwarming take on the world of showbiz, the series is written by Abbas & Hussein Dalal and directed by Shaad Ali of Saathiya and Bunty Aur Babli fame.

Dybbuk: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: Oct 29

Starring Emraan Hashmi, the horror film is a remake of the Malayalam hit movie Ezra. Dybbuk revolves around a couple who start experiencing paranormal activities after the purchase of an antique box. Written and directed by Jay K, the film also features Nikita Dutta and Manal Kaul.

Hum Do Hamare Do: Disney Plus Hotstar

Release date: Oct 29

The comedy-family drama features Rajkummar Rao stars as Dhruv, an orphan who "adopts" his parents, played by actors Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, to marry the love (Kriti Sanon) of his life. "This is a very different kind of comedy, it is a shift from what I have done before. My character is somebody who is always in some situation. It is not like a Stree, Ludo or Bareilly Ki Barfi where the comedy is in-your-face, where the character itself is funny," Rao had said. The Abhishek Jain directorial also features Aparshakti Khurana, Manu Rishi Chadha and Prachee Shah Paandya. 

 

Aafat-e-Ishq: ZEE5

Release date: Oct 29

Directed by Indrajit Nattoji, the movie is the Indian adaptation of the awarded-winning international Hungarian film Liza, the Fox-Fairy. It follows the story of Lallo (Neha Sharma) and her quest for true love. She finds herself as a prime suspect following a series of deaths while an ancient curse looms large, threatening to destroy everything and everyone around her. Produced by Zee Studios, Aafat-E-Ishq also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Amit Sial, Namit Das and Ila Arun.
