Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi recalled a time when Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and himself got drunk to perform a scene in the movie 3 Idiots. Revisiting the scene recently on the occasion of the 51st birthday of Madhavan, Joshi said it was Khan who suggested that they get drunk to to shoot the scene. “I especially remember the one scene where Aamir, Maddy and I were drunk and cursing Boman Irani’s character in the film. Aamir suggested that we drink and perform," Joshi told ET Now.
He said Khan and himself started drinking on time, but Madhavan could not join them immediately as he had some work and reached on the set late. Khan then told him to catch up with them. "Madhavan is not much of a drinker but in order to catch up with us, he had a few drinks too fast. By the time we were ready for the scene, we were a little too high, but Maddy was even more so. He performed the scene brilliantly," Joshi was quoted as saying.
He said it is not often that one gets to see Madhavan like that because he rarely drinks. "That scene is a really memorable one for us," Joshi added.
