Actor Sonu Sood, who has been actively involved in philanthropic work amid the pandemic and lockdown, has tested positive for COVID-19. He took to social media on Saturday to share the update.
He wrote in his statement: "Hi everyone, this is to inform you that i have tested positive this morning for covid -19 as a part of precautions i have already quarantined my self & taking utmost care , but don't worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems remember i'm always there for you all. (sic)"

On Friday, Sood took to Twitter to express his helplessness over being unable to arrange hospital beds and medicines for COVID-19 patients from all across India who have been approaching him for help. "The situation is scary, pls stay at home, wear mask and prevent yourself from infection," he had said.
