Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed a baby boy early morning on Sunday, as per reports. This is the couple’s second baby after son Taimur who was born in 2016.

Kareena was reportedly admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday evening. The news of the couple welcoming their second child was shared by their close friend and designer Manish Malhotra and Kareena’s cousin Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Yesteryear actor and Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor spoke to the media and said that four-year-old Taimur is delighted to have a brother. “Oh, he’s delighted! He is very happy about having a little brother.”

In an interview with Times of India, Kareena had spoken about her thoughts on pregnancy. “It’s just that I have never been that kind of a person who would sit at home and say, ‘Now I want to put my feet up’. I am doing what I want to do. Working—whether it’s during my pregnancy or post-delivery—has been a point to just say that when has anyone ever said that pregnant women can’t work? In fact, the more active you are, the healthier the baby is and the happier the mother is,” she had said, adding that has always been proud of being a working mother.

Kareena and Saif, who got married in 2012, announced in August last year that they were expecting another baby. “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family !!Thank you to all our well wishers for all their love and support,” the couple had said in a statement.

Apart from Taimur and the newborn, Saif has two children, daughter and actor Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan, from his first marriage to actor Amrita Singh. The Tandav actor will be next seen in Bollywood projects Adipurush, Bhoot Police and Bunty Aur Babli 2.

On the work front, Kareena will be next seen in Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, the Hindi remake of the award-winning Hollywood film Forrest Gump.
