The teaser of Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 2 which has crossed 140 million views on YouTube in four days has come under scrutiny by the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Karnataka.

The state anti-tobacco cell has issued a notice to actor Yash (Naveen Kumar Gowda) stating that the teaser of KGF Chapter 2 which released on January 7 and the movie posters depicting Yash smoking a cigarette are in violation of section 5 of COTPA (The Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003) that prohibits advertisement of, and to provide for the regulation of trade and commerce in, and production, supply and distribution of cigarettes and other tobacco products in India.

The anti-tobacco cell has reprimanded the popular Kannada star saying, "Such visuals (of smoking) by a star with lakhs of followers especially the youth, impacts the young minds and influence them to take to smoking, which makes them vulnerable to diseases like cancer."

The cell has directed the actor to get the smoking scene removed from the teaser and extend his support to build a healthy society.
