Mahesh Babu unveils Adivi Sesh's first look as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in biopic

Telugu star Mahesh Babu on Thursday unveiled the first look poster of Major, starring Adivi Sesh in the lead role. The film is a biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the NSG commando killed during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Mahesh Babu tweeted: “Happy to present the first look of #Major!! Wishing you a very happy birthday @AdiviSesh. I'm sure Major will go down as one of your best performances. Good luck and happiness always!”

Recently, Adivi Sesh had shared the look test for his character. He also released a video message as a tribute to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Referring to a photograph of Sandeep, the actor said that he resembled one of his cousin brothers and that he was drawn in by the passion in his eyes. He said that he decided to learn more about Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and started reading up on him and collecting newspaper clippings that came out on him. Adivi Sesh said that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's father was surprised when he approached him with a desire to make a film on his son.

The actor had said that the greatest compliment was when Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's mother told him she looked like her son 'from afar'.

The biopic is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi.
