Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who openly identified herself as Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfried for the first time, has requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah for CBI probe into the actor’s death.
She said she wants to understand ‘what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step’. Sushant Singh died by suicide on June 14.
Along with a picture of Sushant, Rhea shared on Instagram: “Respected @amitshahofficial sir, I’m Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely, Rhea Chakraborty #satyamevajayate”.
Earlier on Thursday, Rhea took to social media to open up about the hate she has been facing since Sushant’s death. She said that she was called a ‘gold-digger’, and a ‘murderer’, and yet she chose to kept quiet. Sharing a screenshot of a message from a user, she revealed how she has also been getting death and rape threats. She also requested the cybercrime cell to look into it.
On Tuesday, a month after Sushant’s death, Rhea posted a long note where she opened up about her love for him.
“Still struggling to face my emotions.. an irreparable numbness in my heart,” she wrote in the note. She also shared photographs of herself with him.
She said it was Sushant who made her believe in the power of love, adding that she will never come to terms with him not being around anymore. “You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it. You taught me how a simple mathematical equation can decipher the meaning of life and I promise you that I learnt from you every day. I will never come to terms with you not being here anymore,” she wrote.
