Prabhas gets nostalgic as Baahubali clocks 5 years

First look of Prabhas’s next film RadheShyam was also released on Friday

It’s been five years since the release of a film that changed cinema viewing experience in India. SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning clocks five years and the team took to social media to celebrate the anniversary of the film that received an overwhelming response across the country.

Actor Prabhas who shot to national fame through the film, took to social media to share a picture from the movie. He captioned it: "Here’s to the team that created magic! Celebrating #5YearsOfBaahubali The Beginning.”

In another post, Prabhas shared a video from the original Telugu version, and said he was feeling nostalgic.

The film which also featured Rana Daggubati, Remya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Tamanna Bhatia among others went on to break box office records in the country. The film was followed by a sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, in 2017, that was also a box office hit. The Baahubali franchise took Telugu cinema to the rest of India and the world, and is still fresh in the memory of cinema viewers.

The first look of Prabhas’s next film Radhe Shyam was also released on Friday. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam will be a trilingual and is being simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Prabhas is paired opposite actress Pooja Hegde in the romantic drama.
