Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja’s untimely demise on Sunday has left Sandalwood shocked. Chiranjeevi passed away in Bengaluru on Sunday after suffering a heart attack. He was 39 years old.
Chiranjeevi was married to actress Meghana Raj who has worked in Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films. Adding to the agony of Chiranjeevi’s death, comes the news that Meghana is pregnant and the couple was eagerly awaiting their first child.
According to reports, Chiranjeevi and Meghana had planned on making the news public shortly and had visited homes of industry elders to seek blessings. Veteran actress and Member of Parliament Sumalatha Ambareesh told TOI that they sought her blessings and had shared their excitement. She also penned a note where she showed her love and support to Meghana. “Extremely sad to hear the demise of talented actor Chiranjeevi Sarja, a dear friend who was very close to our family. Abi & me are in total shock .Gone too soon Chiru :( My deepest condolence to his family9,” she tweeted.

Meghana and Chiranjeevi tied the knot in May 2018 after dating for a few years.
Chiranjeevi Sarja had made his movie debut with Vayuputra in 2009. Some of his movies include Ram-Leela, Amma I Love You, and Chandralekha. He is also the nephew of south Indian actor Arjun Sarja.
