‘Just feels crazy’: Priyanka Chopra after 8 days of self-isolation

As the coronavirus disease spreads across the world, actress Priyanka Chopra, like many others, is under self-isolation. Sharing her experience, the actress said that the eight days she has been under self-quarantine has been ‘crazy’.              

"I hope you are all safe out there. I just wanted to come in and say hello! This is such an insane time and all of our lives have been completely turned upside down. It feels like something out of a movie but it is not. Nick and I have been home for the last week and this is day 8 of self-isolation for us. We have always had such crazy schedules and had so many people around us all day, and all of a sudden this being our reality it just feels crazy. I am sure all of you feel the same way,” she said in a video.

She also advised people to practice social distancing. She has been actively creating awareness about the coronavirus outbreak through her posts on social media. 

Earlier this week, she had shared a picture of herself with her pet dog and wrote that staying home during this time was the safest thing to do. 

On the work front, Priyanka was last seen with Farhan Akhtar in Shonali Bose’s Sky is Pink. She will next be seen with Rajkummar Rao in Netflix’s adaptation of Arvind Adiga’s White Tiger. 

She is also set to play the role of Ma Anand Sheela in the upcoming Amazon Studios film Sheela. Ma Anand Sheela, who was made famous by Netflix’s docuseries Wild Wild Country, was the personal secretary of Osho from 1981-1985 and she managed the Rajneeshpuram ashram in Wasco County, Oregon. She was a spiritual adviser and the primary perpetrator of the 1984 Rajneesh bioterror attack in Oregon. Rain Man director Barry Levinson will helm Sheela. Priyanka will produce the movie through her Purple Pebble Pictures, along with Levinson’s Baltimore Pictures and Permut Presentations’ David Permut and Jason Sosnoff. She is also rumoured to play a role in Matrix 4 along with Keanu Reeves.
