Stardom wasn't a cake walk for Shah Rukh Khan. The actor had much struggles and hardship before he became the King Khan of Bollywood.

Recalling one such instance of hardship, the actor, who was shooting for the Republic Day episode of the popular dance reality show Dance+5, spoke about his first visit to Taj Mahal.

Khan, who posed in front of Taj Mahal on set, said he visited the monument after receiving his first salary. The salary was a paltry sum of Rs 50 and he spent most of it for the train ticket. And he was left with hardly any money.

He said he had just enough money to afford a glass of pink lassi. When he began drinking it a bee fell into it. "But I still drank it and puked all through my return journey," Mumbai Mirror quoted him as saying.

The actor further said he never got his photo clicked in front of Taj Mahal.

The contestants of the show paid a 20-minute tribute to the actor, dancing to some of his chartbusters, including 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' and 'Chammak Challo'.

An emotional Khan reacted to the tribute saying he will still be dancing to 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' when he is 95 years old.
