The Mumbai Police found a gun and a few cartridges in the Tapi River in Surat, which was used in the Salman Khan shooting incident in Mumbai. The incident, where two men fired rounds outside the star's apartment, shocked the public. On April 16, the police arrested two shooters from Bhuj in Gujarat. The shooters, identified as Vicky Sahab Gupta and Sagar Shrijogendra Pal are reportedly from Bihar.

Khan was reportedly targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and was reportedly asked to fire ten rounds outside the 58-year-old actor's home. Bishnoi, a gangster, is currently serving time in Tihar Jail for his involvement in several high-profile murder cases including that of musician Sidhu Moose Wala and Rajput leader and Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

After the firing incident, Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility and called it a warning to the actor. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had reached out to the actor and assured him commitment to upholding the rule of law.

“Search for another gun is underway,” the Crime Branch portal's report reads. Inspector Daya Nayak is heading the investigation. In the meanwhile, on April 19, Khan visited Dubai for a karate championship event. He was surrounded by heavy security before and after his arrival at the Mumbai airport. The Mumbai police added more personnel to the actor's security team.

He is set to begin shooting for AR Murgadoss' next, Sikander, soon.
