A woman from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram district has claimed that she is the biological daughter of popular singer Anuradha Paudwal.

Forty-five-year-old Karmala Modex filed a case in the district court and demanded a compensation of Rs 50 crore from Anuradha and Arun Paudwal, who she claimed, are her biological parents. According to media reports, Modex also sought a share of her ancestral property from the Paudwals.

Modex claimed that the singer gave her away to her foster parents Ponnachan and Agnes as she was not able to raise a child because of her busy schedule.

She said a few years ago her foster father Ponnachan, who was on his death bed, revealed to her that Anuradha Paudwal is her biological mother. According to an Indian Express report, she said she was handed over to her foster parents, who were friends of Anuradha Paudwal, when she was only four days old.

Ponnachan and Agnes had three kids and they raised her as the fourth child. However, her foster mother Agnes, who is now bed-ridden and suffers from Alzheimer's, is not aware of the claim that Modex is the daughter of the popular singer.

The woman told Indian Express that after her foster father revealed to her about her biological parents, she tried to contact the singer, but the latter turned her away and even blocked her number.
