Ever since it was announced that Kollywood star Vijay would be teaming up with popular director Lokesh Kanagaraj, fans have been eagerly awaiting for updates about the project. The addition of Vijay Sethupathi to the cast further increased the excitement quotient.
After much wait, the first look poster and the title of the movie was announced on Tuesday. The movie has been titled Master. Within a few minutes of the release of the first look, it has gone viral. It comes as a surprise that the makers of the movie opted to have an English title as hardly any Kollywood movies have English titles in the recent times.
The movie, which is touted to be an action drama, also features Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead. Although it was reported earlier that Mollywood actor Antony Varghese would be playing a role, he has been replaced by Arjun Das of Kaithi fame.

There are reports that Vijay would be playing a professor in Master, which will be produced by XB Film Creators. Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring the music for the movie which is expected to be released in the summer of 2020.
2019 has been a lucky year for Kanagaraj as his action drama Kaithi has met with widespread acclaim and commercial success.
