'Black Widow': Trailer of Scarlett Johansson's superhero film out

She has played the character in a number of previous MCU films

The first trailer of Marvel Studios' Black Widow is out. Scarlett Johansson plays the character, who is also known as Natasha Romanoff. She has played the character in a number of previous films in the MCU, and this is the first standalone film for for Black Widow.

“I'm done running from my past,” Johansson says in the beginning of the action-packed trailer. The trailer also gives a glimpse of supporting characters like Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz’s Melina and David Harbour’s Red Guardian.

The film is directed by Australian filmmaker Cate Shortland. Johansson last appeared as the superhero in this year's Avengers: Endgame, in which her character sacrifices her life in a battle against supervillain Thanos.

The film will release in India on April 30.
