Shashi Tharoor's extravagant vocabulary needs no introduction. He is back with it again, this time even taking a dig at himself and his language skills. And social media is on a roll. Tharoor is one among the five celebrities trying their stand-up comedy skills, as part of Amazon Prime Video's One Mic Stand.

Besides Tharoor, Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha, Vishal Dadlani and Bhuvan Bam will feature in one episode each. They will be mentored by professional stand-up comedians and will put up an act in front of a love audience. The show premieres on November 15.

The makers have released five teaser videos, showing each of them.

In Tharoor's video, he takes a dig at his own language skills, self-aware of the jokes and memes it triggers. A word—recalcitrance— from the teaser itself is now trending on social media. "I had a normal childhood like all of you guys, my parents embarrassed me too when guests came over and said Shashi, Uncle ko angrezi bolke sunao na (Talk to uncle in English)," he said.

Taapsee opens up about her experience with social media trolls, signalling at the fact that she is a thick-skinned person.

As for Richa Chadha, she cracks a joke about being asked about marriage and mentions boyfriend Ali Fazal, who can be seen laughing in the audience.
