Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor returned to India, along with his wife Neetu Kapoor, after his cancer treatment in New York.

“BACK HOME!!!!!! 11 Months 11days! Thank you all!” he tweeted early Tuesday morning.

He was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday. Actor Anupam Kher had, on Monday, confirmed the couple's return to India. In a farewell note he shared on Twitter, Kher wrote: “Here is wishing you a safe trip back to India after being in New York for almost a year. I have mixed feelings. I am happy & sad at the same time. I am going to miss you terribly. We had a great time together. Thank you. Love & prayers.”

Rishi Kapoor had flown to New York last year for treatment, though he had not confirmed anything about health conditions. His son and actor Ranbir Kapoor, girlfriend Alia Bhatt and many other Bollywood celebrities would frequently visit him in the US.
