Coolie No.1: Varun 'gifts' first-look posters to Sara on her birthday

It is Sara Ali Khan's birthday, and Varun Dhawan took to social media to wish her and share the first-look posters from the duo's upcoming film, Coolie No. 1. Sharing the poster on Sara's birthday, Varun wrote, "SARA tera birthday aaya, birthday ke din main tere liye poster laya! (sic)"

While one poster shows Varun rocking the coolie avatar, the second showed Sara and Varun and their crackling chemistry. Coolie No. 1 is the official remake of David Dhawan's 1995 original of the same name, starring Govind and Karisma Kapoor. With the reboot, David Dhawan returns to the director's seat. The film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani who also backed the 1995 hit comedy.

Varun's last release was Kalank whereas Sara was last seen in 2018's Simmba. Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 is set to hit the theatres on May 1, 2020. The film also marks David and Varun's second collaboration after Judwaa 2.
