Quentin Tarantino's latest offering, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, may have been receiving great reviews and box office collections, but Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, isn't too happy about the movie.

According to media reports, Shannon Lee is unhappy with the manner in which her father is portrayed in the movie.

Speaking to The Wrap, she said Bruce Lee comes across as an arrogant a##h**e in the movie, "full of hot air, and not someone who had to fight triple as hard as any of those people did to accomplish what was naturally given to so many others".

She was referring to a scene in the movie in which Bruce Lee, played by Mike Moh, gets into a fight with the character played by Brad Pitt. She further said it was disheartening to see Bruce Lee being shown as arrogant blowhard when in fact he had to struggle and work much harder than anyone else to make his mark in Hollywood.

Bruce Lee, who trained Hollywood biggies like Steve McQueen and Roman Polanski, failed to interest Hollywood with his projects in the late 1960s, but rose to stardom with a string of martial arts movies in the early 70s.

According to The Wrap Shannon Lee said she understands that characters—has-been TV actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt)—belong to a period of time where racism and exclusion was rampant in Hollywood, and said, "I understand that the two characters are antiheroes and this is sort of like a rage fantasy of what would happen…I understand they want to make the Brad Pitt character this super bad-ass who could beat up Bruce Lee. But they didn’t need to treat him in the way that white Hollywood did when he was alive.”
