Protection is always important, so is consent. This Argentinian sex toy company seems to understand the concept of consent better than anyone else.

The company, Tulipan Argentina, has come out with a unique condom to drive home the point of consent. It takes four hands to open the condom packet, thus ensuring that both the partners involved make the decision together.

The text on the packet reads, "If it’s not a yes, it’s a no.”

In order to open the condom packet, four corners of the package should be pressed at the same time. According to media reports, the representatives of the company hopes that this condom packet helps in putting an end to sexual assaults.

“Tulipan has always spoken of safe pleasure but for this campaign we understood that we had to talk about the most important thing in every sexual relationship — pleasure is possible only if you both give your consent,” nypost.com quoted Joaquin Campins of BBDO, the agency which is promoting the brand, as saying.

Free samples of the condom packets were distributed in Buenos Aires. These will be commercially available later this year.

While this condom packet alone can do little to put an end to sexual assaults, especially in a country like India where a majority of men seems to averse to the idea of rubber, it is certainly a step in the right direction.
