Bollywood reacts to IAF air strike against militant camp in Pakistan's Balakot

The much-awaited retaliation by the Indian military for the Pulwama suicide bomb happened in the wee hours of Tuesday when 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control and hit several terror camps.

The IAF strike on the Jaish-e-Mohammed's terrorist camp at Balakot in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan has been hailed by various Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Lata Mangeshkar. They took to social media to applaud the IAF and hail the non-military pre-emptive strike.

"Respect @IAF_MCC Indian Air Force... Jai ho !!!," tweeted Salman Khan.

"Proud of our #IndianAirForce fighters for destroying terror camps. अंदर घुस के मारो ! Quiet no more! #IndiaStrikesBack," was Akshay Kumar's reaction on Twitter.

"A TRULY BEAUTIFUL GOOD MORNING. THANKS @narendramodi SIR AND BRAVEHEARTS OF OUR ARMY . JAI HO, " Paresh Rawal tweeted.

"Jai Hind!," tweeted Sonakshi Sinha, along with a tribute video to Indian Air Force.

Karan Johar tweeted: "May the force always be with the #IndianAirforce and our supreme Intelligence....JAI HIND".

"Mess with the best, die like the rest. Salute #IndianAirForce.@narendramodi," tweeted Ajay Devgn.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: "Salute to the daredevil IAF pilots who braved to strike in the heart of our enemy. It's time for all Indians to stand united as one.🇮🇳🙏 #IndiaStrikesBack #JaiHind."

"I have been watching since morning and I'm very happy that our armed forces are so prepared and strong. I always say that India is there because of our armed forces. We live in this country and are very fortunate," Mangeshkar told a news channel, reports PTI.

Rajkummar Rao‏ saluted the IAF for carrying out the strike against "terror elements that pose a threat to our country and humanity".

Richa Chadha said the IAF acted in "self-defense and attacked" terror outfit, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

"Significant that Yousuf Azhar (IC-814 hijacker) is felled. The Air Force worked strategically and only targeted terror outfits and no civilians. Proud of the way the @IAFMCC and MEA have handled this," the actor tweeted.
