Actress Radha Bangaru slams Sri Reddy for abusive comments against Pawan Kalyan

Telugu actress Sri Reddy has remained in the news recently for her fight against sexual harassment in the Tollywood, and accusations against certain high profile names. Recently, she abused actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan for his advice on how to deal with casting couch. The derogatory language used has angered fans and other actors alike.

In a latest development, actress Radha Bangaru who had supported Sri Reddy earlier, slammed the actress for using foul language against Pawan Kalyan.

In a video message, Radha Bangaru against using abusive language against against someone like Pawan Kalyan who is a senior and 'won many hearts through his work'. Bangaru also urged media to not give attention to Sri Reddy's publicity stunts.

Earlier this month, Sri Reddy stripped and staged a protest to demand justice for not getting any work in Telugu film industry. The incident took place in Film Nagar, where the artist removed her clothes and complained of not getting chances in the industry and women being exploited in Tollywood. Following her protest, the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), an apex body of the Telugu film industry, had said the aspiring actor would not be made a member of the organisation.

The police had also booked the actor under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (obscene acts in a public place). The NHRC sent notices to the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry as well as the Telangana government, seeking detailed reports into a protest.
