Pakistan has expressed concern over India's procurement and accumulation of weapons and claimed that the international community is turning a blind eye to "India's aggressive pursuit of military capabilities."
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, India's pursuit of defence capabilities exceeds its security requirements. He claimed that this weapons buildup is posing a threat to the regional stability and security of Pakistan.
During a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Khan said Pakistan is capable of effectively responding and defending its territorial sovereignty and integrity, and added that Islamabad is committed to maintaining a full spectrum of deterrence, reported Radio Pakistan.

Khan said Pakistan is willing to hold a comprehensive dialogue wth India to address all outstanding issues, including the issue of terrorism, and claimed that this has been Pakistan’s consistent position.
Claiming that Pakistan has evidence of India's involvement in fomenting terrorism in the country, he said Islamabad is willing to discuss the issue of terrorism.
Khan said any effort by friendly nations to facilitate dialogue between India and Pakistan is welcome.
