"Kabocha is
Today, May 24th
At 7:50 a.m.
I fell into a deep sleep
Last night as usual
Eat rice
Plenty of water too
I drank it.
From the window
The soft light shines in,
Outside the window
The birds sing
On a beautiful morning,
While I stroke you
Like sleeping
He passed away quietly.
For a long time, Kabocha
To all of you who loved me,
Really
thank you very much.
Kabocha is
The happiest person in the world
I think it was a dog.
And, I
The happiest person in the world
It was the owner.
Kabocha is
Still now
Smiling
Wagging his tail
Stay close to me
I think they are giving it to us.
surely
And always will be," the owner's blog post in Japanese read.
Kabosu was a Shiba Inu dog whose image went viral in 2010. The image had inspired the creation of "Doge" meme and the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
Dogecoin was launched in 2013 featuring an image similar to Kabosu as its emblem. The popularity of Dogecoin led to other such meme coins—shiba inu (SHIB) and floki (FLOKI)—gaining popularity.
