Weeks after Google fired several of its employees, it has now emerged that the California-based tech giant laid off its entire Python team, according to reports.

Google is reportedly planning to hire cheap labour outside the US to cut costs and the roles are likely to move to Munich, Germany, said reports.

Earlier, it was reported that Google is preparing to lay of more employees in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East as part of its restructuring plans. Reports said that a fraction of the impacted roles would move to Bengaluru, Dublin, Atlanta and Chicago.

"Throughout the second half of 2023 and into 2024, a number of our teams made changes to become more efficient and work better, remove layers and align their resources to their biggest product priorities," Reuters had quoted a Google spokesperson as saying.

In January, hundreds of employees lost jobs in engineering, hardware and assistant teams.
