Three weeks in April will be holiday-shortened for stock exchanges, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), in India.
Two of the three trading holidays in April 2023 will fall on Fridays. There are a total of 15 trading holidays in 2023.
According to the BSE trading holidays list, there will be no trading on April 4, April 7 and April 14.
Stock markets will be closed on account of Mahavir Jayanti on April 4 (Tuesday), because of Good Friday on April 7, and on account of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, which is again a Friday.
There will be no trading equity segment, equity derivative segment and SLB segment on the aforementioned trading holidays.
Meanwhile, the stock markets ended the last day of 2022-23 fiscal with nearly 2 per cent jump on Friday in line with firm trends in the global markets and heavy buying in Reliance Industries.
